Players Page
The Players page lists all of the players that have been entered into the Leaderboard tab of a Tournament.
Players Are Entered With Tournaments
Players will be added when you enter a New Tournament and add players to the Leaderboard tab.
If the player is in the database already, it will add that score to that player profile. If the player is not in the database, it will create a new player profile entry for that player. Each player is unique by spelling of the name.
Each player can then click on their name on the leaderboard and see their player profile. They can then click on the "Verify your Profile" button, where they will enter their email and password to login and be able to see advanced stats, ability to add a custom avatar and change their profile page colors.
You can also enter a player manually using the Players page, but you wouldn't be able to enter a username and password for a Player until they make it onto the Leaderboard. The only reason now for the Player to log into the system is to update their Player Profile page, which isn't created until they have made it onto the leaderboard. All other logins are handled through the Staff page.
Merge Players
There is a handy merge players tool if a player is entered into the database under different spellings of their name. If a player has been entered into the system with an incorrect name, the proper way to get the points to the correct player is to use the Merge Players feature.
How To Merge Points from "Player 1" to "Player 2"
- Navigate to the Player page from the Admin Navigation
- Search for "Player 1"
- Click on "Player 1"
- When that player page opens click the three vertical dot menu button
- Select 'Merge Player'
- Select "Player 2" from the list that populates for the player to Merge into
- Click 'Save' to Merge "Player 1" points into "Player 2"
- Once merged, "Player 1" will no longer exist in your database and previous points will now be under "Player 2" profile.
Example 2:
- Login to PokerLeaderboards.com account and Select the 'Players' tab
- Search for the Player Name that you DON'T want to keep (the Player Name to be merged)
- Click on that Player Name to open that Player's page
- Click the '3 Vertical Dots' Option in the left corner and Click 'Merge Player'
- The 'Merge Player' box appears. Type and Select the Player Name you want to Merge this one into (the Player Name you're going to keep)
- Click 'Merge Player' button. The two Player Names are now merged into one Player Name.
